Like I already said. You either oppose it or you're for it. There is no middle ground. That he calls mutilation doesn't matter in the slightest as he is not trying to ban it.
Let me remind you that he promised to release the Epstein files. That he promised no new wars. How well did that age? Give him the benefit of doubt if you must but you'll be sorely disappointed once again.
It's a very politician type move, for someone who fancies himself an outsider
It's like when Democrats used to say they "personally" didn't support abortion but they couldn't force their opinion on others. Yeah, you can it's your job as a leader to take a stand.
