I know some fathers like this, willing to die, or kill, for their children, but the subsequent cost for those children can be severe.

Luckily said fathers have some very good friends and brothers, who are not fathers themselves, who would be very willing to actually go through with things if needed because of less to lose.

Kinship can be powerful, we just don't have enough of it at times, which isn't helped by the various propaganda criticising it.
