Not a fan of Trump’s action in Iran and not actually putting America first, but wasn’t the Obama deal just paying them lots of money? Not a fan of Obama due to his race obsession for one thing. As well as the usual big government mindset that Trump has as well. Looks stupid for people to blame Obama at this point though
Now, I know that some of the supposed right these days is very enthusiastic about stealing other people's oil and money, but I'm not a fan. Also, abusing your financial position gets you blowback - which is why they didn't even do it in WW2 AFAIK.
It was their own money? Well I’ll take your word for it. Like I said my issues with Obama were other things like his race obsession and not condemning racial riots that started with false pretenses (Michael brown for instance). Also he is a big government politician like the rest

The principal ($400 million) was Iran’s own money, originally paid to the U.S. for military equipment before the 1979 Revolution. The equipment was never delivered, and the U.S. froze the funds. $1.3 billion was the negotiated interest accrued over nearly 40 years. U.S. lawyers argued that settling was better than risking a much higher ruling (potentially billions more) from an international tribunal at The Hague. Because of existing sanctions and the lack of a SWIFT banking relationship, the $400 million was delivered in physical pallets of foreign currency (Euros and Swiss Francs) on an unmarked plane.
