They did several at my college every year in the rec center. High school gymnasiums are cheap to rent and a good size, people from town come in to donate more than the seniors.
Actually I think I do remember them at college but nobody went to them cause you don't get out of class or whatever. They weren't hyped up like in highschool. It was a long time ago.
Still weird to do at a highschool at all when only seniors can go and even then not all of them are 18.
It's just a cheap and convenient way to get a large room in pretty much any town in the country, the schools are the ones who hype it for some reason. Teachers love to think their job is more important than it is.
How come the red cross does blood drives at highschools every year, when only seniors are old enough to participate, but I never saw one at college.
