You can marry a kid in the United States any age in California, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, 37 other states defer to common federal law which is 12 to 14 depending on reason given. I believe North Carolina has the most relaxed system related to marriage licenses nobody really checks quite a bit of 14 year olds being married down there in fact that's why the state normaly has a noticeable amount more marriage license issued per year.
There is no federal law on marriage age. I think those states should change their laws to prevent child marriage, and if the US decided to bomb California I would understand
