She Got an Abortion. So A Texas Cop Used 83,000 Cameras to Track Her Down.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Lawmakers who support reproductive rights must recognize that abortion access and mass surveillance are incompatible. The systems built to track stolen cars and issue parking tickets have become tools to enforc...
This site doesn't care because that's the company that was tracking pregnant woman leaving states that would let them die. But, if you go over to Reddit, they're teaching everyone which green laser pointer fucks up the cameras.
Flex seal is cheaper and requires a more permanent camera protection solution from their end. They wanna spy? Make them pay to protect their cameras.
I read the comment of someone who uses cameras for a living. They were explaining how to buy the cheap laser, and mod it to do the damage the $1500 laser does. But, really I want a phone case with a green laser attached. I'm creeped out about them being programmed to zoom in on cell phone screens. Especially with how often hacks of that platform are live streamed.
Modding a laser just seems like a bad idea. Just from a you're gonna break something expensive, or yourself in the process.
If you want them to ignore your phone screen, just get that polarizing film you can peel off a non working monitor that stops anyone but those that have the film from seeing the screen and make a sheet of it the shape and size for your phone.
When you're not using your phone, don't have that polarizing layer on there. It'll just be a white screen.
Personally, I just got rid of my phone when I realized how ridiculously easy it was to track not only my location but everything about me.
There's also satellites you can't stop from spying on you, as well as high flying drones and whatnot. That's why you carry a scarf around your neck that's got that reflective fibers in it so that any pictures make the fabric a thousand times brighter and makes your head a glowing ball.
And if you are gonna start some shit that you'd want not traced to you, halloween mask to hide your face shape under a bellaclava of some kind. Colored contacts, walk funny, carry a cane, whatever you gotta do. You're gonna be as uncomfortable as all hell wearing all that, but only for a little while.
I usually listen to earbuds when I'm out and about. I think more people should root their devices so they can turn the permissions off.
