Won't happen. The show runners had to do a lot of gymnastics to not force the middle seasons to be a big mess of characters being all over the place with tons of strings to tie back up. They partly succeeded (putting aside the horrid S8) even if the quality was poorer than S1-4.

George spread his characters out even further and even added new ones on top of it. He can't finish the story because he can't figure out how to do it properly. Even worse is that his outline for the ending that was used on the show was universally hated by fans.
