I kinda want to use it as a test point as it'll take us probably more than a century to get past the belt, longer to reach a planet like Jupiter.
We need the experience and tech to work within hazardous planets as some of those gas giants can have lots of resources so long as our equipment can survive.
I didn’t think about taping the atmosphere itself. No clue if it’s possible or what’s in there sadly. Could be cool to have some type of Cloud City-style floating mine? Probably is way easier to survive in the atmosphere than at the surface.
