Oh right and let’s not forget that if we’ve got a black woman (presumably as a new Mulder or Scully) we’re 250% likely to get a speech about how she had to work twice as hard as a white boy to get where she is.
Exactly. Modern day writers can’t resist that. Honestly if they want a fresh or new story, a black character that doesn’t mention race once would be near groundbreaking lol
