Partly the "forbidden fruit" angle, partly the evolutionary nature ("Alpha Fucks Beta Bucks") and partly the amount of Izzat gained from putting one over on your man - if you're the type of gigatoxic cuntmonster that thinks a relationship is a zero-sum game.
What's more disturbing to me is the super rapey yaoi shit where the fem self-insert, nearly always a weepy emo twink, is essentially characterized as a prepubescent boy. Especially in light of the comments on this post where the mother has to know what'll happen to that boy in prison.

The consequences caught up to majority of the people at last. I think the covid escalation definitely made a lot more people aware that other countries exist. Comparisons followed. Then more information started leaking out about just how bad the browns are as neighbours and X helped spread that.
