Redditors are over there crying their eyes out and making shit up about the age that people were when playing these games. This era was my early adulthood and definitely not my most carefree years. And it was absolutely the best era of gaming. Not including the graphics, but that's obviously not the point at all.
For me, its 1995 to 2001. 1996 alone was the year of Pokemon, doa, tombraider and resident evil.
Yeah, the peak for both consoles and PCs was definitely late 90s to early 2000s. I'd say the golden age in general stretched from the NES to the 360, though.
