Does that mean Americans can all get their Toyota pickup trucks for.....reasons...I bet veterans of Middle Eastern conflicts have seen their...reliability... /s
This is a good thing as TRUE environmentalism should be down to two things: land management and efficency. If you manage the land right, then ALL of it has use even including wild land to replenish insect populations and plant diversity and if you're more efficient, you waste less to get more production.
WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin on Feb. 12 announced the elimination of a 2009 finding that served as the basis of U.S. action to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.
“Effective immediately, we are repealing the ridiculous endangerment finding and terminating all additional green emissions standards imposed unnecessarily on vehicle models and engines between 2012 and 2027 and beyond,” Trump said during an event at the White House.
Unequivocal Trump victory. I have nothing but spite for anything and anyone that talks about "greenhouse gases." One of the most sanctimonious, annoying, and inescapable groups of people on the planet. They exist just to make people's lives harder and smaller.
What qualifies as a passenger vehicle? If you mean cars as a separate thing from SUVs, trucks, "crossovers" then they barely even make those.
The Ford Mustang still comes with a V8, as does the Corvette. Dodge tried some electric shit with their niggerboxes that didn't work, they are supposed to be bringing back a V6 now. I'm not sure there are any other "cars" even made by the big 3.
If you include the rest, most of the trucks are still available with the V8s and I think some of the bigger SUVs.
I just want them to take out engine start-stop, cylinder deactivation, twin turbo 3-bangers, and all the other shit that engineers contrive to game MPG numbers in a lab at the expense of the end user.

Unfortunately, this might be too little too late to save the American car industry. Are any of the big 3 still putting V8s in passenger vehicles?
No, but their V6 are going to sell like crap so someone might right the ship. Incidentally, Toyota is making a V8 supercar.

GM still makes the Chevy Malibu, though the only people that seems to buy them are government agencies and rental companies.
