I can't get over how drastically body dysmorphia is treated compared to the gender dysmorphia stuff.

Because it's a cash cow. Every patient they can bully or gaslight into it means perpetual hormone treatments and other prescriptions, and all the kickbacks these doctors and institutions get from the drug companies as a result, multiple surgeries, endless billable hours of care, therapy, evaluations and referrals.
