There's theatre at work here. This Epstein file release was well-planned and I don't think we're going to know exactly what the plan was until it's fully unleashed.
I think Trump's going to be the fall guy for everyone else who's names were redacted. That was part of the deal he made to get the second term.
He's already done plenty of work to discredit and demoralize the Right, why not put the final nail in the coffin before handing the Whitehouse over to people who would absolutely defend everything Trump has done if it were their side that did it?
