There's things I don't like about Gen Z, but most of it I understand the reason behind it. The not liking rock music thing is too bizarre though. Everyone liked rock music. If you were in grade school in the 2000s, you were liking music from the 70s, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin - through the 90s.
It seemed like every generation appreciated rock.
But I've heard that Gen Z does not like rock music. I don't get it. To me that's like "not liking apple pie"; it's such an American cornerstone that it's baffling.
All that stuff costs money, but entry-level jobs are going to cheap foreign labor instead of to the young people who were born here, so zoomers are mostly broke. Blame the great replacement for disenfranchising them.
We can’t get a date, can’t own a home, can’t do anything of meaning, can’t start a family, all while foreigners get our tax money, jobs, families and houses. Yay!
I think it has more to do with being raised by screens.
I know a zoomer. I hooked him up with a job at my friends business. It's the trades and it paid well for someone his age. He was constantly showing up late. Didn't want to work OT, weekends, etc. He was constantly getting opportunities to make more money but seldom seized it. And he would still complain about not having money. Maybe he's the exception. But I'm thinking their laziness and disinterest is a feature not a side effect.
Money for what?
For whatever. Why get a job if you aren't going to do the job? Why do a money making thing of you aren't going to make as much money as possible?
It would be like taking a class with no intention of showing up or learning anything.
Man how old are you?
