There's things I don't like about Gen Z, but most of it I understand the reason behind it. The not liking rock music thing is too bizarre though. Everyone liked rock music. If you were in grade school in the 2000s, you were liking music from the 70s, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin - through the 90s.
It seemed like every generation appreciated rock.
But I've heard that Gen Z does not like rock music. I don't get it. To me that's like "not liking apple pie"; it's such an American cornerstone that it's baffling.
A local radio station played an alphabet promo and used The Beatles for "B". It had me thinking why the Fab Four got lumped in with all the other classic rock stuff from the 70s & 80s.
I was also daydreaming in the car how the Rock station from my youth was now Classic Rock without any real rebrand. I never actually hear any new releases or even anything from this decade on my commute. This is the same station that used to have a new release Top 20 that I used to try to record to make mix tapes on my tape deck.
