Good news! Japan are on course NOT to. Between voting patterns, Sony turning more towards Japanese devs and a rejection of western influence over their media, they're resisting the globalists.
Now to get their work life balance in order so they can fuck more (let's be honest, that is their main issue)
Even in respect to the birthrate Japan's terrible replacement rate is doing better than China, Taiwan, and Korea which are slamming the bottom of the barrel. Japan's outsize cultural presence is the only reason they're the poster child.

You think 120+ million on a few islands isn't enough? The place looks like an anthill, they could drop by 90% and be fine.

There's not enough of a population replacement in rural areas, more are heading into cities creating a lot of abandoned villages. Need to make sure the entire population isn't focused into a few urban zones.
