You think 120+ million on a few islands isn't enough? The place looks like an anthill, they could drop by 90% and be fine.
It's more WHERE those numbers are.
There's not enough of a population replacement in rural areas, more are heading into cities creating a lot of abandoned villages. Need to make sure the entire population isn't focused into a few urban zones.
That's more of a result of our fake make-work economy where financial instruments and """services"""" are just as good as physical products.
