Correct. Edmonton has "leaned left" for decades. No idea why, other than stupidity. Their poison of choice is the NDP.
The NDP got in once, provincially, and undid 20+ years of solid government in just 3 years. They spent their last year trying to pretend they were "fixing the Conservative's mess" that they themselves had made... typical.

Because it's the capital city- it's a government town, lots of public sector union employees.
