Capacity and popularity aren’t the same though. I agree the capacity will be there faster, but it will take time to show AI can churn out user directed content better than Hollywood, then again with how absolutely dogshit Hollywood is, it could be 2-3 years.
Half the problem is that digital effects team. We gave great fantasy movies from before CGI, where used good cinematography to not need to try doing the impossible.
We went from the industry scouting guys like Robert Rodriguez, that could make 10 million look like 100 million, to filling a list with big names, and dumping 300 million on crap over and over.
More talent, fewer nepo babies, please, regardless of AI.
AI is going to steamroll this industry in 10 years and they will only have themselves to blame for it
