You make an unpleasant but valid point.
Or it could've been normal, better to have a chance at getting a decent tv show vs none at all.
Even if there was a 10% chance of it being decent, it's worth the chance. What do you have to lose?
If it turns out to suck, just don't watch it. Who cares?
