Quite a few of the early 20th century Popes were expressly anti communist and there's a few Papal documents on this, but it dried up around the 60's and 70's I believe.
There was a big push in the 30's for communists to infiltrate churches and become priests and I don't think anyone has really followed that up.
I think it was Paul Kengor in his book found the KGB documents with this plan and found the seminary intake records for 1930 something and yep, there was a huge bump in people applying for the priesthood that year. Nothing was ever followed up on it though.
