My only objection is that the armour is to clean, everything is to clean and shiny.

Same, I do like Gothic a lot so will see if it is any good.
it is medieval fantasy after all. you might also notice that the game is very colorful compared to other souls like games. they're probably going for a more optimistic tone than the genre typically has.
Hopefully it wasn't inspired by the buggery
