What many in the maker space are not realizing is that WA doesn't think their control schemes stop at state borders. There was a gun control bill passed a few years ago that gives the WA attorney general license to go after firearm retailers NATION WIDE with lawsuits if said retailer doesn't implement controls to deny purchases to "prohibited persons." As a direct result of this law, many online firearm accessory retailers won't even ship to WA any more.
Furthermore, this video is absolutely correct about how the 3d printer manufacturers will knuckle under on this. Ideologically, the US based 3d printing industry is by far more progressive aligned than conservative, and they will happily go along with it. Foreign manufacturers don't care, they will comply just because financially it makes sense to.
About the only manufacturer I can think of that won't is Defense Distributed, and what they will have to do is just discontinue sales of their Ghost Gunner 3 desktop milling machine to WA.
