It's not cultist behaviour, it's simple non partisan siding with the winner group mentality.
SO FAR it looks like Trump successful got to wave America's dick around, captured a hostile nations president with ZERO costs other than ammunition then made the remaining government there his bitch with no longer term military involvement. Of course people will think positively of that so long as that REMAINS the status quo. It's like how the Iran strikes had people worried till they saw it caused everyone to chill and no further action after.
Tldr: American's prefer seeing their country do a pimp hand with results than a slugging match with costs with their military.
Yeah, this is just do you approve of potentially risky future political action vs. do you approve of current political project that appears to be going well.
Of course people approve when it looks like everything went as cleanly as it seems this did.
TLDR: Republicans claim to be opposed to 'regime change' until their cult leader does one.
It isn't just Republicans, it's just that the left are REALLY shit at war.
Name ONE Democratic president that ok'd a successful military operation without saying FDR or the Osama raid as I long suspect they knew where he was the whole time.
Meanwhile Republican, not just Trump now but first term the Iranian general, Bush Sr initially with the Gulf War just should've left after, Regan Operation Praying Mantis. You even give Democrats amen easy win of just stick to a schedule and they STILL fuck it up! (Afghanistan withdraw).
So no it ain't 'just Republicans', Democrats would too just their leaders are shit at it. Hell they're MORE bloodthirsty as look at how much they celebrate their 'enemies' dying like Charlie Kirk or recently Scott Adams..
LOL, did you make Trump violating his promises into a "rawr rawr Republicans are so amazing, they wage the best wars"? Also, I think you missed a Republican between Bush Sr. and Trump.
I didn't say EVERY Republican, only that there are MORE militarily successful Republican presidents than Democrat.
I live by the two statements "speak softly while carring a huge stick" and "hope for the best, plan for the worst"
As thanks to previous sit on their hands policies, we probably CAN'T unfuck it without using force on occasions its just better it's not protracted meat grinder conflict and quick objective based strikes.
Hell just look at another show of force in using ICE they way the US has. There WAS a way to do it without so much force but thanks to previous administration, we need to really deport them with those massive globemaster planes DAILY if we wanted to get on track fast enough.

You say 'non-partisan' but there is a great partisan divide.
Great timing for this comment.

Andrew Jackson. Which doesn't really contradict your point, but...
Eh you tried at least 😅
