I love my job, every day is mentally stimulating and exciting. I'm so happy I don't have to deal with burn out or goddamn kids, or even the public, really, and still make enough to have a cozy life. But I live out west in Canada, things are a hell of a lot better here.
I had that for almost a year. Happiest I've ever been too. I didn't even look forward to days off because I wanted to be at work. It was also the lowest paying job I ever had as an adult. I was living at absolute bare minimum quality of life, and using a credit card just to afford enough to eat. But still losing weight, and already close to underweight. I had no choice but to leave.
I can imagine this is how a ton of young women get to experience work, with their fake jobs/adult daycare positions that companies make up for them, and overpay them for.
That used to be me. I was looking for jobs for months and something new panned out and gave a fat pay raise. As depressing as it is, you have to get out there and look
I envy anyone that has a job they don't absolutely dread going to.

I get a lot of mileage out of "at least I'm not doing XYZ any more"
