Disagree to some extent, pretty sure creative problem solving and critical thinking are at least partially innate.
Yeah, I think we're seeing partially people who genetically lack those abilities and partially people who had those abilities beaten out of them by government schools and mass media programming.
At this point we are seeing the children of children that got a shit education. There was no one at home with the right answer.
When my kids were in school the school got mad I was telling my kids," That may be the answer they're looking for, but that's not the right answer. " . The school sent out letters telling parental not to look at the kids homework. The kids were not allowed to bring books home some years either.
My kids had friends who's parents didn't have any issues with the materials I had to call my parents, and grandparents to get help explaining material because I wanted to make sure I wasn't skipping anything.
