Not OF models, but I was always curious how Canuck influencers like Lauren Chen & Viva Frei could simply apply for a visa to more or less set up in the US permanently as social media personalities.
I suppose Viva Frei has a nominal association with the Rumble head office in Florida. But I'm not sure he had such a relationship at the time with Rumble's CEO before leaving Montreal for Miami.
Chen seems to have been offered a second visa opportunity despite all the Tenet Media Russian glowie stuff. After being in exile in Hong Kong with her Leaf hubby for a year in radio silence, she was glazing the Trump admin at the end of 2025, announcing that she had been officially sanctioned to repatriate to Nashville again with her anchor baby(?ies) despite having no direct American citizenship ties that I'm aware of.
Welcome to boomer logic. Both political parties espouse that everyone is an American. The difference with Trump is you have to be an earner or useful to his administration. That’s why he told his base to pound sand repeatedly on H1Bs and is mass importing “legal immigrants” faster than Biden did (and where all the non government job growth is coming from this year). We’re all just economic units to this admin and that means societal decay and collapse is inevitable at this point.
