I've yet to see any videos of Venezuelan citizens condemning what just happened.
I mean, I feel like they're really pushing the 'everyone is excited about this' narrative. But, yeah, you know the libs would be running with this is there were vids of them crying and stuff. Still, we're getting this through a lens, and a narrative is being pushed, hardcore.
And I think someone could take out Trump and run a similar op, and paint it as if no one in America liked him. It's easy propaganda.
there's even cheering in the background of some of the bombing videos.
I've seen some where people seemed pretty upset and worried but...that's pretty standard for getting fucking bombed.
you have to remember that Maduro absolutely fucked Venezuela, weimar germany style.
Yup. Never argued otherwise. He was a disaster, from what I understand. I'm no fanboy. I just worry what comes next could be worse in the long term. If the transition is smooth, I think the Venezuelans will benefit in the short term; Maduro was that bad. But this destroys the country, since the main objective of the opposition is to get in on the 'global economy' and stuff. They're selling out their country for short term gains.
I'd rather they could have had a populist revolt without our help, and formed a nationalist government. That would have been ideal.
Point is, though, it was never our issue to begin with. We should have just left them be.
This is us serving an arrest warrant from 2020 against some guy who just refused to accept that he lost an election. I dunno man I think it'd be tougher to hide half the country losing their shit with the existence of social media than you give it credit for. I mean its not like CNN is playing the cheers on prime time, we're seeing it on Facebook and YouTube.
