Something tells me that the high ranking officers of the Venezuelan army hand Maduro over the Americans, like its not worth it to fight against the most powerful military in the world over some high school dropout bus driver Socialist.
It was never our business in the first place, but this would be great news, just because the alternative would be so much worse and more drawn out. I strongly condemn the whole nonsense, but if it really was surgical and successful...maybe we can just fuck off and call it a day?
Sure beats another twenty year military industrial venture at the cost of massive American and foreign lives.
Hang the Mission Accomplished banners, and get the fuck out. We did it, we're so great, woooo, America!
We did the stupid Venezuela stuff, now let's do some actual America first stuff please?
I think that the US should follow Teddy's example amd exercise absolute dominance of this hemisphere. There's zero reason that we should experience any inconvenience from a country near us because they should all fear the big stick actually being used. That said Trump should do the same in Mexico while bombing the cartels if he isn't a puppet but we know the answer to that.
I disagree with the first bit, because I don't think Venezuela was ever much of an inconvenience. That was ginned up to give an excuse.
Second part is correct, though. Mexico is perhaps the only foreign country where US military use would be completely in US interests. Especially if we got the blessing of the Mexican government. Cooperative strikes to take out cartels, and give more power to the Mexican government, to stabilize things. I'd still be hesitant on that, just because it could go very wrong, but there's at least a very strong argument for the move. Cooperating with Mexico to stabilize the region would do a lot of good.
Venezuela was allied with our direct rivals. That should have never even been a thought that crossed their governments minds because the US should be such a dominant presence here that they would be terrified to cross us
Hold up, BIGGEST thing mentioned here, Maduro WILLINGLY let himself be captured with his family and the strikes were a diversonary smokescreen.
If that's all true, that might mean that he was a necessary fall guy for other malicious actors and now that he's gotten out, those actors now have to be front an centre not the shadows where they prefer to direct.

Venezuelans hate the son of a bitch so I wouldn't be surprised
I mean after seeing Saddam and Ghaddafi, they offered Assad and Maduro the deals and they took it.
Back door deal “you get to stay alive, out of a jail cell and either run or “run” the country”.
Big if true.

Canada.
Isreal.
Israel owes a fuckton of money to America anyway and has proven to be completely untrustworthy. Regime change there is completely justified.
Its all over now goys.
I really hope this is true. I really really want this to be true.
if it is, then that's it. war's over. no forever conflict like Afghanistan or Vietnam.
