It came from the fact that people clap like seals for anything with veterans.
But your actual plan is simple. Strip the vote from people you don't like, and repeatedly vote to increase taxes on them until they assimilate to your retarded communist belief set.
This is why it's common sense to remove the vote from parents. It's the same argument as people use for the 19th - it's a group that votes primarily to steal wealth for their own, driven by emotional beliefs rather than rational thoughts and is constantly looking for new ways to childproof the world at everyone else's detriment.
