And Star Wars is still profitable because people are still buying content and figurines of the original Star Wars franchise, created by George Lucas. Disney is still nowhere near going bankrupt, and Star Wars is still nowhere near being dead weight to them, even if they utterly wrecked its reputation.
You sure about that? Their parks are in the same "raise prices to make up for fewer customers" death spiral that the theaters are in. And all of the money and effort being thrown into their competitor across the street at Epic Universe is going to let them start eating Disney's lunch.
