This does not even help home-owners, that is, if you own one home. If you sell your home, either you're going to rent or you're going to buy a new one. Both are dependent on the price of homes.

Ideally, homes would be as cheap as possible. The only people who would suffer are those who took out crazy-high loans to buy artificially price inflated homes.
