the difference between Reagan and Vance is that we have the history of observable anti-white discrimination, and people arguing for meritocracy are arguing to eliminate that discrimination. under Reagan, the discrimination was against non-whites, so naturally color blindness meant eliminating that discrimination.

They didn’t gut the department of education, they cut the budget by 15% which makes it the same as 2020, they also didn’t ban DEI in teachers. Trump also “banned” federal DEI while spouting about how diverse his cabinet hires are. Are we now pretending Kash and Bondi were hired on merit now? The fact is you can’t “ban” DEI, it’s been “illegal” for decades yet magically was enforced the entire time because laws only matter if you enforce them. What government entities has Trump shut down for DEI hiring? Also USAID is a foreign aid agency, so not sure what stupid you’re spouting there.
