Everybody owned slaves. Even black Americans had slaves.

I can not say with certianity about other Slavs, but Serbs never had slaves. Never. Not even one.

Source: my ass (as far as the Dushan the Strong story goes. Read his law.). And as far as the cities of Dubrovnik and Kotor goes - they were eather catholics or under the Venetian republic. Serbs (orthodox or pagan) never had slaves.
