if you're talking about the UK and Europe, that situation is actually the inverse of Israel. where modern Israel has been conquesting and expanding since before 1967, as you point out, Europe has been continuously populated by their respective cultures for hundreds of years, and are only recently being colonized.
modern Israel was founded in 1948 when the Israelis decided to reconquest their religious Homeland. It does not have a continuous tie to ancient Israel.
