I do recall the Cuphead comparisons, even thought of it before sharing the article here. I suppose birds do have some of the tiniest brains, wasn't sure how they compared with rats for intelligence.
The problem is that the bird brain does not work the same as the rat one. So comparisons are like potatoes and oranges.
I suppose it's also a matter that the pigeon in question wasn't actually playing Cuphead, but it was actually learning what it was doing wrong with its own puzzle, whereas Cuphead journalist couldn't do it with instructions on the screen.
This rat is actually playing DOOM.
Makes me wonder if they use the giant rats or dogs if it plays Wolfenstein 3D.
Having seen journos play DOOM, and so poorly it looked like an amputee was doing so because somehow double analog sticks was impossible for the reviewer, my money is definitely on the rat.
