I have clients ask me all the time if I can keep their CC info on hand so that they don't have to manually pay every so often / I can do it for them. I said hell no, I have way too many clients to do that with. I imagine companies do it because people kept getting their stolen. People ought to just get parcel boxes. Costco had one for like $80 a few years ago, bolts right into the concrete and can easily hold something the size of a microwave.

It was probably unintentional, sometimes the door latch wasn't properly engaged and then the door opened itself
