The Hollywood revenue model has changed from making individual movies/shows lots of people want to see to making a portfolio of movies/shows including a library of old favorites that is just palpable enough for users to subscribe to a streaming service, and using that subscription money to fund DEI and marxist content that doesnt have to make any money at all.
Which is because the way that the more experimental movies that didn't make that much at the box office made money was through DVD sales, and streaming has killed physical media for anyone who isn't a preservationist.
