That's a very good point, I lived in DC for some months in the early 2000s in a kinda of student house, and the main restaurant people would go was an Ethiopian one. People from around the world, Europe, Americas, etc, and they would go to the Ethiopian restaurant.

The simple fact is the retards that clamor about it are the same ones that will buy bug burgers and rave, they have no actual discernment of flavor, they buy off social clout which is their main flavor profile. That's why when I go to Janaese restaurant, I avoid Chinese owned.
Pro tip, in most cities the best sushi restaurants are Korean, they just don’t try and differentiate.

Around there, 19th, R, S, 18th, a small are with lots of restaurants and the Ethiopian was king. I think they ate with their hands too.
