Some might not see this as a big deal, and perhaps it's not, but to me toy construction has always been a dad activity. I fully believe they intentionally made the mom the builder to subvert the traditional gender roles.

In 1970 my Dad put together my high-rise banana-seat bike for Christmas. It cost (iirc?) $5 to get the store to do it. He spent 6 hours on it, finished after 3 AM. 😲 I was super happy though :> It lasted 7 years, then was out at the cabin.
As to this? I don't mind the idea. Were both partners White at least?
