Which means the Military has actual vested interest in the organization churning out the best it can and that the money they invest in it is actually giving returns. Something its continued political moves have actively hindered and undermined, both in terms of enrollment and meritocracy.

Expect that bit of obvious logic to get lost in people crying emotionally about how important it is for our kids and how America is dying and all that.
