Alongside basically every other institution since the 1960s (and even before, but the 60s were the critical decade for all communist infiltration), all stripes of Christian church, whether protestant or catholic or orthodox, were heavily targeted, converged, and essentially destroyed. Christianity pre-WW2 was almost universally based as fuck all over the world. Never forget that.

If it was so based, why did it allow the infiltration? Resistance to subversion is critical to any system's integrity.
