During the Obama-Romney election ramp up, Obama was noticeably not wearing an American flag pin. Some people made a big deal about it, enough the Obama gave this great, and truly heartfelt(to me anyway) response about how nationality is shown in our actions, not a pin. How we share this, and that, and that nothing so simple as a pin could ever...yadda..yadda...yaddaa... My friends at the time fell all over themselves about how adult it was, how insightful, and moving it was to move away from such brazen Nationalistic pride...
Only for him to show up in Israel a few days/weeks later with a big, bright Israeli flag pin over his heart.
Non of us can say we never saw the signs.
We all just chose to ignore them, for various amounts of time.
Yep, except for the place all the politicians go to and show fealty towards... it isn't that place. Nope, no sir ree.
I am so happy people are finally starting to wake up.
Don't notice American politicians kissing the wall.
Still one of my favorite memories.
