Ugly women characters only appeal to woke feminist young girls and middle aged women. Normal young girls aren't threatened by hot chicks. Old ladies don't compete anymore, so they don't care. Middle aged women are extremely threatened and get raged out about hot chicks.
The question is, do woke feminist young girls, and middle aged women, make up a significant share of the market? Significant enough to cut out a ton of the male market? The memes leads me to think the answer is "no."

Yeah but Ubisoft, EA, Remedy, Naughty Dog, Rockstar etc aren’t supposed to be selling mobile games or FarmVille, are they? There’s a difference between candy crush and Grand theft auto, just like there’s a difference between the devil wears Prada and Rambo 3.
Board execs used to understand this, and compartmentalised their products and marketed them to different audiences (and made literally billions). Now it all just has to be woke feminism, race mixing and homosexuality no matter the medium, no matter the plot, no matter the audience.
