Where the fuck has this whole notion that city mayors should be going anywhere overseas?!

The Mayors of places like LA and NYC consider themselves on par with the heads of state, because technically the hold domain over something bigger than most countries. Its been a problem for a while, honestly. Cali in particular has Mayors getting involved in International Affairs regularly and undermining the rest of the country to do so.

Its why there was that amusing moment a few days ago when the governor of NY (people always forget that NYC is just a single city in the whole state) said she wouldn't approve a bunch of Mamdani's proposals so they weren't possible, yet he kept talking like he would be the new President with ultimate power.
