You'd think after watching Trump get stalled by various nobody Mayors, random Judges and loser Police Chiefs/Sheriffs people would have noticed that just "letting the federal sort it out" is a losing strategy.
Because even if we assume the best case scenario of his intentions and plans, this year has shown that he can be stalled constantly by people far down the chain just not following orders or outright doing illegal shit on their own to obstruct. The big picture means nothing without the details that make it up, and the Right has historically failed to show up for smaller elections.
With the exception of the old ass boomers who'll be there at first light to vote for their favorite McConnell-esque golem, which is why we keep having situations like this. The only Right-wing anything voting is the people we complain about, but the numbers keep showing people failing to actually do anything about it in their local/state elections.
