Heard 2027 is the time the UK government is meant to review keeping the licence fee.
Be interesting to see if they keep it despite it's ever dwindling influence or ditch it as a cheap way to appeal to voters.
I think it's pretty obvious the votes don't matter. Ironically the peasants had much more power in the "absolute" monarchy.
I don't see how ditching the fee would appeal to voters. Currently, only people "using" the service are charged the fee. If they ditch it, they aren't going to defund the BBC. They are just going to tax everyone to fund it, whether they use it or not.
You think normies are thinking that far ahead? If the general population was capable of connecting cause and effect our problems would be solved.
