Despite what people are saying, he is a good debater and would challenge the left back when saying almost anything against the woke ideology would get you canceled.

He helped in bringing conservative ideas back in to public spaces and showed you can have a serious show on youtube that would challenge the established media.

However this also allowed him to shape what conservative ideas are allowed. Now he lost the plot and he no longer gets to set the terms for the right.
