I might be wrong, and I am usually very wrong, but the Scott Adams thing it's not exactly good to anyone.
I agree with a lot of things he says, disagree with many others, sad that he has prostate cancer, but at the same time he should not be using social media to ask the president for help, and much less the president has to interact with him.
Why is he different from any non-famous citizen that actually contribute more to society than social commentary and a cartoon strip? Should the president intervene for everyone? If so, why he is not trying to use his majority in the chambers to change the laws and regulations around insurance?
I agree to an extent, but I gotta say: if you got the connections, use them. I don't get what he meant in the post
I don't know what "brief IV" means I suppose it means he's suppose to go to get some clinic and get an IV with the drug added to it and Kaiser in typical HoMO fashion, fucked him over.
And if I'm fighting for my life? hell yeah, I'd throw everything I got to have a fucking chance. And if I got a line to the President, why wouldn't I use it?
I don't see this any different than if someone has a huge support network and a family clan in the hundreds and ends up needing a gofundme and raises hundreds of thousands. While some guy with 7 friends on his facebook gets 20 dollars for being in the same situation.
It pays to be connected.
People hate it because its just a blatant case of "some pigs are more equal than others."
Especially given his Clott Shot past, it 100% reads as a man running away from the consequences of his own actions (even if the Vaxx wasn't responsible, Covid deaths counted in car crashes so turnabout is fairplay) to rub it in the faces of those who have to suffer and die under the same circumstances that he is famous and connected so he shouldn't have to deal with this bureaucratic nonsense and die. This is the problem of throwing it up on social media to whine about it, instead of privately asking for help.
From his perspective he probably sees himself as a scared man trying whatever he can to survive, but that's not what the reality of it is.
I swear I'm not trying to reply to every reply, but I just want to mention something that came to mind: if I know Trump and I want his help, I'd also post it on social media and when he does help, I will post THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP! YOU'RE GPOAT!!!!!
Because knowing Trump, ego stroking works.
And "some pigs are more equal than others" is ironically a feature of western capitalistic ideology. We're all equal, but wealth and power afford opportunity and comfort. If you want it, in theory you have a slim chance if you got the brains, health, guts, and luck to achieve it. If you don't like it? Seek communism.
He's allowed to do it, and we are allowed to criticize how pathetic and unjust it is that he is doing so.
He deserves his fate, as he tied his "health" to the Vaxx and showed himself to be willing to sell every bit of credibility and intelligence he once held out just to assuage his fear of death. And now, once again, he is groveling like a little baby in terror of it, and selling what remains of his dignity to do so.
Once again, he is allowed to do all these things and in the face of death many men are rendered into their meekest forms. But just the same, everyone is completely in the right to mock and belittle him for it, as he made his "health" the most important part of his brand all on his own out of pure ego and inability to admit being wrong and is now reduced to suffering from the same gay healthcare system we all do.
And in the face of that nightmare, what does he do? Does he use the thing he is famous for, understanding business and corporation cultures, and try to leverage it into change for the betterment of all men by showing that even someone as connected and rich as him can't escape it?
No, he begs his friend to save him specifically and only him. He is deserving of mockery in the highest degree, and no amount of "well he technically can do that because he is rich" will change that.
And then people like you wonder why the masses with no hope of ever benefitting from such a situation instead want that opportunity stripped from as many people as possible.
